Apostle Dr. Ernest C. Dawson is the senior pastor and founder of Rehoboth New Life Church Alliance of Maryland and the proud husband to Lady Eleanor Dawson of Bronx, New York for over 55 years.
He is the father of three (Eric, Enisha & Erniece), and the grandfather of four and great-grandfather of three. He treasures the relationship that he has with his children, grandchildren and wife. God has truly blessed them with His awesome love and grace.
Dr. Dawson was born in Norfolk, VA; and raised in Windsor, NC where he graduated from Southwestern High School. He is an alumnus of East Carolina University and Strayer University.
Dawson has attended Kelly-Washington Bible Seminary in Long Island, New York and Maple Springs Bible College/Seminary in College Park, Maryland. He has an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice; and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Apostle has a Master of Divinity, and a Doctorate in Theology, acquired from studies at Isaiah University of the Holy Ghost, Orlando, Florida.
He retired as a senior investigator for fair housing with the Department of HUD, Fair
Housing Equal Opportunity Division in Washington, DC. He served in the United States Air Force for twenty-six years as Law Enforcement Superintendent while stationed in Germany; and Public Affairs Superintendent, for the Secretary of the Air Force, Public Affairs Region in New York City. To round off this humble man of God's service to God's people and his country, he was a Revenue Officer for the Internal Revenue Service for six years in Washington, D.C. and Landover, Maryland.
Apostle Dawson was ordained as a Deacon in 1985 by Pastor Robert Chandler, Shiloh Full Gospel Baptist Church in Zweibrucken, Germany. He was licensed as a minister in 1991 in Bronx, New York by Pastor/Founder, Elder Luellen Spivey, Rehoboth COGIC. He received his ordination in New York City by Bishop Ithel Clemon, New York Jurisdiction, COGIC in 1995. He served under Pastor Robert Chandler in Washington, DC as Assistant Pastor. In 1997 his ordination certificate was transferred to the United American Freewill Baptist Denominational, Inc. under Presiding/Annual Bishop Dr. J.E. Reddick, Kinston, NC.
He has served as the Church Chief of Staff, and Chief of Ministerial Alliance at Greater Sr. John Church under Bishop Kevin Gresham in Upper Marlboro,
Apostle Dawson was consecrated as Bishop by the Most Honorable Bishop Nathan Merritt, Prelate of Heart of God International Fellowship, INC, and held the office of Bishop of Field Operations. He was affirmed as Apostle on October 12, 2019, and served as 1st Vice Prelate of Kingdom Life International Fellowship, under the leadership of the Most Honorable Chief Apostle Dr.
David Resto, Jr., Prelate. In addition, Apostle Dawson served as the President of Christ Mission Workers Prison Ministry, and Vice President of 'In His Care Prison Ministry' - where he ministered the gospel, in hope of setting the captives free, to the young men and women who are incarcerated at Alderson Federal Prison and Hazelton Federal Prison in West Virginia.
Dr. Dawson's favorite scripture is Isaiah 61: "The Spirit of the Lord is Upon Me...and He has anointed me.." For truly the Lord's Spirit is needed to make a difference in this world today.
Lady Eleanor A. Dawson is the RNLCA Chairperson of Deacon Ministry and the lead Diaconate for the Kingdom Life International Churches Worldwide, Inc. She serves as the Chairperson of the RNLCA Women Ministry.
Lady Eleanor is a native New Yorker and spent her spiritual childhood life at Rehoboth Church of God in Christ. She has been a member of Christ Mission Workers and In His Care Prison Ministries for eleven (11) years.
Deaconess Eleanor has served as an ordained deaconess for Greater Saint John Church of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. And has served as a volunteer at Alderson Federal Prison, West Virginia, and other correction facilities throughout the east coast.
She has devoted her life serving the elderly, sick, shut-ins, and less fortunate. She loves to work with children and young adults. Her loving heart is the driving force behind being affectionately called "Mother" by many. To know her, she already loves you!
Lady Dawson is married to Apostle Ernest Dawson for fifty four years. She is the mother of three children, grandmother of four children, and two great-grand children.
