Our mission is to bestow to them a crown of beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for morning, and a garment of praise instead of the spirit of despair... Isaiah 61:1-2
RNCLA Vision Statement:
To Empower a people within a community to flourish under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, with the Love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; and by the power of our God, the Father.
We are not only here to celebrate Rehoboth New Life Church Alliance for the ten years God has given us to serve him, but to celebrate God for the vision he gave to his Shepherd, Apostle Dr. Ernest C. Dawson.
Ten years ago, God gave Bishop Dr. Ernest C. Dawson a vision for Rehoboth. He told Bishop Dawson to dig his first well. On April 24, 2011 the first well was dug at Hampton Inn in Waldorf, MD. The well was called Rehoboth New Life Church of Waldorf. Bishop told his sheep, "don’t get comfortable for this is not our home. Yes, God has made room for us here but only temporary. " We praised God with the word, with song and with dance at that first well for three years. Then things began to happen to make us uncomfortable.
Being the Shepherd of Rehoboth and the man of God that he is, Bishop Dawson went before God on behalf of his sheep. And on that mountain top, God told him, "my son it is time to dig your second well. Tell your sheep to follow you as you follow me." In March 2016, Rehoboth’s second well was dug at Hope of Judah in Clinton, MD and we became Rehoboth New Life Church Alliance. Once again, the Shepherd of Rehoboth said, "don’t get comfortable for this well is only temporary." We praised God with word, with song and with dance. We began to settle in and as soon as we began to get a little comfortable, things began to happen to make us uncomfortable.
The Shepherd of Rehoboth went before God once again on behalf of his sheep. And on that mountain top, God told him, my son it is time to dig your third well. Tell your sheep to follow you as you follow me. In November 2016, Rehoboth’s third well was dug at Dominion Cathedral Ministries in Ft. Washington, MD. For God had made room for Rehoboth a third time. Once again, the Shepherd of Rehoboth New Life Church Alliance said, "celebrate this third well but don’t get comfortable for this well too is only temporary."
We praised God with word, with song and with dance. Once again just as we were getting settled, feeling good about our new home, yes you guessed it, things began happening to make us uncomfortable. Once again, the Shepherd of Rehoboth New Life Church Alliance went before God. And on that mountain top where he met with God so often, The Lord told him, "my son it is time to dig your fourth well. Tell your sheep to follow you as you follow me." In March 2017, Rehoboth New Life Church dug it’s fourth well at Rehoboth New Life Church Alliance in Ft. Washington, MD. We celebrated with praises to God, with the word of God, with song and with dance.
Finally, God had made room for us. Finally, we had a permanent well to call home. We settled in - happy and content. The Shepherd, the man of God, Bishop Dawson told us it’s good to give praises for our new home, but I say to you - do not get comfortable. Yes, it feels good – yes, it feels comfortable, but this is only temporary. One day the Shepherd stood before his sheep. We could tell he was a little hesitant, but he knew he had to be obedient to the word of God. He said, “my sheep, the time has come for us to dig our fifth well." God said to him “tell the sheep to follow you as you follow me.” In November 2018, Rehoboth New Life Church Alliance dug its fifth well at Rehoboth New Life Church Alliance in Clinton, MD. We began rejoicing and giving God praise. Honoring Him with his word, with song and with dance. Here we stand today at our fifth well where God has made room for Rehoboth New Life Church Alliance.
God has given us twelve years of serving him. Of honoring him as a church. Rehoboth New Life Church Alliance give all Glory and Honor to Almighty God who has made room for us for ten years. So, we celebrate God today for his faithfulness and his love for us. We celebrate God today for the Shepherd of this House, Apostle Dr. Ernest C. Dawson. Whom God gave the vision for Rehoboth New Life Church Alliance. We celebrate God today for Apostle Dawson’s obedience, his faithfulness and his love for God and the sheep of Rehoboth New Life Church Alliance.
